This restaurant is a throw back to the yacht club days! The restaurant is located right on the gulf and almost every table in the front area has a view. The decor includes lots of fishing items hanging from the ceiling - interesting to look at while you are waiting for service. They have a good variety of seafood dishes and some chicken dishes. My companions enjoyed their seafood dishes tremendously. I had a salad which I greatly advise avoiding. The table next to us had the pescado entero - oh my gosh - it was truly incredible. Almost a work of art!! The service was slow (pretty typical for CR) so don't stop if you are in a rush. The tables were well spaced apart so there was no fear in coming in contact with the people next to us. I would definitely recommend but stick to the seafood plates.
My plan was to visit another restaurant down the road but they were remodeling so I found Mar y Lana by coincidence, the experience was overall positive. Great food, great service and a quiet atmosphere with the best view of the bay. Un lugar súper agradable con las mejores vistas de la bahía, la comida excelente.
Mar I Luna is from the surrounding area and the food quality one of the best; if not the best in local food. It's very romantic in the evening for watching sundown. The variety of food is outstanding and very tasty. You should try cesadillas..... very surprising in taste.

We only stopped for breakfast. I can't give an opinion on the rooms, so don't go by the rating. The service was outstanding.
The whole experience was extraordinary. A well run business for sure, very clean and neat. The food and adult beverages were delicious. Everything is within walking distance. They have kayaks, dolphins/whales tours. Also fishing trips with Costa Rica Pêche Passion highly recommend it.
Amazing Location with stunning view of the Gulf, make sure you arrive before sunset to fully enjoy the place. Great service and really good dinner, the price is right for the quality and location of the place.
